About Surah An-Nisa: Surah An-Nisa (in Arabic text: ูฑููุณุงุกโ) is the 4th chapter of the Qur'an. The surah titled in English means "The Women" and it consists of 176 verses. .. ูฑููุณุงุกโ. An-Nisa.
And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allah is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. (24. Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Thus has Allah ordained for you. All others are lawful, provided you seek them (with a dowry) from your property, desiring chastity, not fornication. Umar dan Ubaid mengatakan sehubungan dengan firman-Nya: dan (diharamkan juga kalian mengawini) wanita-wanita yang bersuami. (An-Nisa: 24) selain dari empat orang istri, haram bagi kalian (kawin lagi), kecuali budak-budak wanita yang kalian miliki (pergundikan, pent.). Firman Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala: sebagai ketetapan (dari) Allah buat kalian.The meaning of these Ayat is: If you have stipulated a dowry for her, and she later forfeits it, either totally or partially, then this bears no harm on you or her in this case. Ibn Jarir said, "Al-Hadrami said that some men would designate a certain dowry, but then fall into financial difficulties.
